Indeed, I seem to have the most fun playing on levels 2 or 3, even if I can win - or at least come close to it - on much higher difficulties. I should mention that I am only talking about Civ V here, as I have not played anything else except CivBE (and in which the cheating tends to go.differently).Īm I the only one who finds that the style of cheating used by the AI for higher difficulties makes the game rather unpleasant? After being beaten to the eleventh wonder in a row and seeing AI settle 30 cities in the first fifteen turns - taking nearly every lux on the map at that - I cannot help but get a strong feeling of "Why play like this", which I usually respond to by playing on a lower difficulty.
